fun holiday weekend

CJ, the boys and I spent the holiday weekend just kind of puttering around the farm, working on our long list of jobs to finish and new ones to start. We took the boys to our local town fireworks show on Friday night. They both managed to stay up for it and oooooh'd and aaaaaah'd like pros at all the pretty pyrotechnics. Saturday we shopped for some project finishing items and also stopped at the Issaquah Farmers market. We found Collard Greens, a 1/2 flat of strawberries, two new trees for the front yard, a baby changing pad and burb clothes and a beautiful bunch of flowers. Always feels good to know that our dollars are being put into the hands of local people instead of big corporations. And yesterday CJ and I spent most of the morning cooking up our Greens and I made some country recipe strawberry jam, which I got from a fellow blogger...yummy! Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July weekend! xoxox
