first official notice

CJ handed me a piece of paper on Thursday night and it is the first official notice that we have received that he is being mobilized, instead of just hearsay. It was one of those very military looking types of documents, all caps and many acronymns. What I did decifer was CJ's name, his social security number and under the heading Mob Location it said Iraq. So apparantly this is the first step...a mobilization status report that is sent to a bunch of people...commanders, chiefs, personnel etc. These weren't the official "Orders" but they are coming soon.

CJ is getting himself as ready as he can. He is working out every morning at home and then Marcella was so kind to get him a memberhship at her and Ashley's gym. We all want him as strong and as healthy as possible for this deployment.

We have started to look around for a townhome or house in the Issaquah/Sammamish area so that the children and I can be close to family and friends while CJ is away. I want to keep the children in familiar surroundings too, with their friends and schools.

CJ has Navy Duty this weekend and I'm now looking at these weekends as mini...very mini...practices for him leaving. We have a busy fun day ahead, birthday party for Garrett's friend, and then a Pot Luck with some old friends.

Hope you all have a fun weekend, and we'll chat again soon!
