finding the light when its right in front of you

Some days are harder than others. Today was one of those. Time is running short before CJ is leaving and there is so much to do, and to try to take care of before that happens. We're trying to figure out what to do with the house, we're negotiating with the bank regarding the RV because no one is interested at the price that we owe, phone calls, paperwork, the list is long...so much, so much. CJ isn't able to help a whole lot because of his work situation. I had one of those moments this morning when I just felt overwhelmed and not knowing where to turn or what to do next. I tried to focus and do what was most urgent, and all the while trying to care for the three Littles.

I then had the honor of attending a Mother's Day Tea at Ellis' preschool. Vanessa was so kind to take care of Garrett and Brooke while I went to this event for just Ellis and I. Ellis greeted me as I arrived, and escorted me into his classroom where they had set up tables with pretty pink tableclothes, homemade place mats and there was tea and cookies on each table. The centerpieces were small hand painted flower pots planted with tiny violas. Each personalized, one for each of the Mommys. We shared tea served on fine china, enjoyed a song from the kids.."You are my sunshine", and listened to a story read by Teacher Stacie. I had a rare treat that Ellis was sitting on my lap during story time. And at that moment all the whirlwind of STUFF melted away. My beautiful son was cuddling with me and the world was perfect again.

Once again my light and relief came from my beautiful children. I am blessed.
